Modern outdoor lighting: light and design in a private villa
In the heart of the province of Pordenone, an exclusive project has come to life, seamlessly blending contemporary architecture with the purity of natural stone and greenery. The main goal was to enhance an expansive private garden spanning over 3,000 square meters. The landscape architecture, beautifully designed and executed by Arfiero Giardini, follows a precise layout of botanical islands and fluid pathways. This meticulous green space configuration required premium modern outdoor lighting capable of harmonizing with the vegetation and elevating the environment without compromising its minimalist design.
Soft atmospheres among the park’s botanical islands
The core philosophy behind the project was to introduce elements that could blend effortlessly with the villa’s modern architecture without appearing artificial. This led to a preference for handcrafted natural stone over conventional industrial aluminum or plastic fixtures. Thanks to the unique, natural veins of every single block of stone, each fixture stands as a unique artisanal piece that decorates the landscape even during daylight hours.At night, the stone gracefully yields to the magic of light. Every green flowerbed is highlighted by strategically placed SOL garden light bollards.
Utilizing advanced downward indirect light technology, our indirect light bollards cast a soft cloud of light that embraces the surrounding flowers and plants. The resulting nocturnal scenery is breathtaking: looking across the park, the property transforms into a sea of welcoming light islands that decorate the lawn with a glare-free, subtle glow, offering one of our finest modern garden lighting solutions.
Stone sculptures for the villa’s architectural focal points
To differentiate the light fixtures according to both their emotional and functional purpose, we selected our majestic Menhir Minimal modern outdoor lamps for key transition points near the house.Two of these natural stone outdoor lights guide the pathways near the secondary entrance and the guesthouse door, establishing a strong, texturized presence. The third Menhir Minimal serves as the true visual centerpiece of the outdoor area: positioned within the large pebble flowerbed facing the contemporary porch, it interacts directly with the indoor living room through large glass walls, casting a striking and elegant bed of light across the white pebbles.
Smart home technology for modern outdoor lighting
An extensive residential project demands absolute technical reliability. All our fixtures feature a quick-connect Plug & Play system, allowing for a fast, safe, and risk-free single-click installation. Coupled with a IP68 water-resistant rating, this ensures long-lasting durability without requiring complex maintenance.
The entire outdoor system is fully integrated into the home automation network. Through automatic dusk-to-dawn programming, the lights seamlessly activate and deactivate by following the natural rhythm of the sun. In this project, stone meets nature and minimalism, transforming a masterfully designed garden into an open-air stage where architectural beauty can be fully experienced even after sunset.
